Significant breakthroughs have been made in oil and gas exploration in the Beibu Gulf Basin of China
On March 6th, the Weizhou 10-5 oil and gas field located in the Beibu Gulf Basin of China achieved high-yield oil and gas flow, marking a major breakthrough in the exploration of Paleozoic buried hill oil and gas in the Beibu Gulf Basin.
The average water depth of Weizhou 10-5 oil and gas field is about 37 meters. The exploration well encountered an oil and gas reservoir at a depth of 283 meters, with a total drilling depth of approximately 4840 meters. After testing, the well produces approximately 370000 cubic meters of natural gas and 800 barrels of crude oil per day, making it one of the granite buried hill oil and gas exploration discoveries in the Beibu Gulf Basin.
